it wasn't to much hassel to build the only trick thing was the 15" sub in the missle of the back seat, go and measire the space there and you'll know why!!!, i had to build the rest of the box around it, i can't wait to finish it and get a Db meter on it. it freakin loud. even cooler the car sits rather low already, but the audio equip and box all up weigh about 300-400kg. so it sts even lower.
thanks for thinking the interior looks cool. all of my m8ts seem to think so 2

^^^That's the only bummer about having a good amount of audio gear, it gets freaking heavy.

Uses a hell of a lot more fuel, and performs a bit more like a 4 cyl. Still...if it sounds good...

Hey james that interior looks bloody good. Where did you get that done??? What color is the outside of the car? That sounds like a lot of weight in the boot. good thing i'm not doing that then because with the 17's already on my car and lowered that would leave me up the creek. That looks nice though. How long did it take???? Do you have any other plans.

You could get heavier springs and shocks to take the weight. Its one of those things, if you want it $$$ and mods are always needed :(

Like how I discovered the rust on my car wasnt just restricted to around the back window, but the whole rear wall of my boot (it looks all right, black paint etc, but touch it and it flakes off :( )Looks like Im in need of a new S1 VN... Perfect excuse to buy a V8 w/Manual

Don't mind me, Ive heard a lot, seen a bit, done some of it . That and Im probably not quite sober.

@Aj, i've done all you have seen. paint, box carper, suspension. i started when i lost my liecience in late august. my car sits that low now that i had to remove the bump stops, and shorten the diff stop as well as re mould(beat the crap out of) the arch above the uni jiont at the diff cos it was hitting the body.
@mouce it still went alright before it came off the road, reasonalbe fuelecon, and i was still able to chirp them in third. so it doesn't slow it down much

Did you do that yourself??? That looks great. How much did it cost you to do that. IT sure puts my little job to shame.

Na mate i didnt do it my self. The previous owner of the car had it done. Ive just put the bigger subs in. Its no longer in the car. It looks relatively easy to make up. Just the trimming side of things would be the biggest issue.
Cheers

Looking good AJ- similar to what I had planned. Make sure you post some finished photos!

And care to share what was used to make the hinged door covering the spare (aswell as details as to how easy it is to get to the spare!).

Thanks mate- and once again, good job!

Thanks mate.

Its pretty easy to get the spare out as well as the jack.
To make the door for the spare it was probably the hardest part because there is only a small bit under the door. I must say alot of the whole experience is just trail and error. The hardest part by far is find spots to secure the bit over the spare wheel.

Thanks for your reply

Hi Guys!
Long time no reply. I'm just getting back around to my boot. Should be finished soon though.
YLD50L thats a great job. Not much boot space left hey but who cares i guess. Thats a great effort to get it done in a day. Looks really good you should be very proud.

James Mongan your interior looks great as well. Just wondering if you had any problems with installing the vr door trims to your vn??? Did you have to mod in anyway???? What are you planning next???

aj unless ur putting a vr\vs dash in ur car don't put the door trims on, but u can very easily just screw and cut out the speaker hole in the vn door trims, so that it houses front speaker nicly. my next plan is to hopluly keep my licience when i get it back on friday.

thats neat, is that a custom box or just a dual enclosure thay comes with the subs, hey i think that the best wau to neaten up the spare wheel is with a vs, spare wheel cover, u should b able to get one from any wreckers.
with the amps are the subs running off 1 amp and u have the other hooked upto the speakers or do u have i amp per sub?

Grr, sorry for double post.

I would love to do up my boot, got a bit of rust from other owner, didnt bother boput fixinm boot leak :S
Problem is I have parents that suck at that kind of stuff, so neither has any tools, and materials, plus I dont have the greatest amount of time.
Know any placve where you can customise it and they can build it for you?

Cheers
