turn your air conditioning on and see if the fan spins, if it doesnt it will be either a loose wire on the fan plug which is located beside the left of your radiator, or a burnt out motor. if it works with aircon on but not when the temp reaches half way, look at the coolant sensor. and try changing relays over(switch with horn relay)

Cheers,
Nodg.

in your fuse box under the bonnet you'll see square blocks, change the horn one with the engine fan one and see if that helps. otherwise its 4 bolts which are located on the back of the radiator, undo all the fan shroud bolts and the unclip the plug which is connected to the fan motor it will be to the left of your radiator just above the battery you cant miss it. you should also wiggle or push the plug together to see if it engages it. but sounds like your next stop is the wreckers.

Cheers,
Nodg.

if the fuse and relay are good and the fan works on a donor battery, you need to see a sparky because there is most likely a loose or hot wire somewhere. you can hook up to accesories, but the fan will work nonstop if your sitting there listening to music without the motor running. you can hook it up to the ignition pigtail but i think a sparky needs to look at it, could be an earthing problem or like i said a hot wire(wires rubbing together or earthing out, did you check the plug to the fan or what? just play with the wires a bit and if its no good a sparky would not charge much as they pinpoint problems with their multimetres quite quickly.
let me know what it was

Nodg.

that would be safest, hook it up to the ON position (reds) instead of accesories, either that or you can have the wires coming into the cab whereever is easiest accesible, attach a button to the wires so you can manually turn it on or off when the motor reaches operating temperature. best bet is the sparky though i must say.

i did this with the accessory wire from my amp, take the shroud off from behind the steering wheel, the theres a very tiny screw thast hold the ignition 'pigtail' to the ignition barrel. once its off try some differant combinations with a paperclip until you find positive and negative, so what im saying is positive and negative is accesible from the ignition. the way your car works is that when your turn your key to accesories or 'ON' its basically closing a switch and making a complete circuit. and obviously everything that is available on accesories, is available through the ON switch. i realise i might not explain enough so ask whatever you need to get your car on the road again.

be careful having the fan rewired to the dash !! reson being the fan draws a hell of a lot of power and if u mess up , it may run but will smoke your electrics! melt the lot!!!
