hey mate i dont see why not.i put gas struts on the hinges in my boot to keep it up as it was falling so i guess you could do it with the bonnet too.

As long as you get the mounts as well i cant see why they wouldn't. Length maybe an issue but i am not 100% on that you may have to compare. If needed i can give you the opened length of the strut and the housing length and you may find something to suit.

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer?
Understeer is when the driver is scared.
Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.

Just ask any auto parts store. They just replace a gaurd bolt and a bonnet bolt and thats it. Look for a kit with the ball joint nuts. Not the kit with seperate ball joint and nut that screws in behind because they are a pain in the arse to do.

The VP strut kit bolts right up... plus you can find them in the wreckers relatively easy from what I've been told.

Just found out that the ball joint nuts are still available as a genuine part.

No- everyone I've spoken to has said that all the holes are in place to fit the VP struts without any drilling.

I'll have a how to in a few weeks... damn moving.

You are correct MILD. The are encapsulated nuts about halfway along the underside of the bonnet on both sides. Will screw straight on no modifications necessary.

Lol!! I dont think i deserve to be in the same category as mouce. As for the parts everything i needed i got from the local wrecking yard for about $20 off an old VN and the only thing i had to do is remove a guard bolt to fit the lower mount for the strut.

Yeah- the how to is the simple part... I'm just weighing up whether I should be searching wreckers or just hit up the local parts store. The wreckers around here aren't the best and in three weeks I'll have access to just commodores...

I'll be using new struts though regardless of cost difference.
