Hey you VN lovers, i have a problem with mine:( When it's cold she runs fine but just after it warms up it starts to hunt on idle. It gets worse when in gear.(auto) It does'nt stall but i have a feeling it's going to do it soon. Have new plugs, leads, iac, coils have been tested and all filters replaced. I'm thinking the fuel pump might be causing it but unsure. Has anyone had this problem before?

Welcome, and glad you could join us. If its starting off fine, then it wouldnt be the fuel pump. If the fuel pump was stuffed, you would have trouble starting the thing even.
As for the problem ur facing at the moment, I dont think i would be of any use, but if Mouce doesnt have an answer (he has one for EVERYTHING) then ill ask my mechanic mate....
Anyways, GL with it. And would be nice if u posted engine details like s1 or 2, what year, any mods, all helps. |

Yeah it's a 91 model series 2 with extractors, exhaust, chip, bellmouth removed, cai, o2 rush filter and only 86,000kms. |

Possibly the ignition module- I know for the V8 they are damn expensive new but you can get reconditioned units for under $200. It may be worth asking a mate if you could borrow his to see if yours is at fault- it takes less than five minutes to change one over. |

Thanx MILD50, I'll give it a go tomorrow. I have a mate who also owns a hot VN, I'll try his and let you know. |
