are you really prepared to spend so much and only get a 30-40% power increase??? I'm spending around the same amount and getting 360rwkw on 18psi and 440rwkw on 23-24 psi with a turbo...

yeah, this is a v6, it will be stroked hence the rebuilding, and no im expecting a bit more than 35-40% increase with all this stuff id be expecting way over 100% increase although this is a power to weight ratio car so itll be light as and heaps of power to weight, but yeah this car is for cruising...i guys you would say im a tool cos i love beating v8's :P since i already have a supercharged vn it beats 5ltr's and they wonder why lol cos i looks like crap and has v6 alll over it haha cheers, please people reply more i need to know the items not "why would u do that"

yeah i just like having a supercharger your preference is turbo mine is supercharger, and there is no reason why it wont reach 10's, although i wouldnt be upset if it didnt and ran 11's or 12's cos thats still better than the new ve r8's :D, but yeah SWEET the pulley has to go smaller not bigger for extra boost, so it spins faster creating more boost

Just to answer your question sweet "PSI" stands for Pounds per Square Inch. It is a measurment of pressure. For example one way to measure boost pressure is in PSI

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer?
Understeer is when the driver is scared.
Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.

Look realistically, my car is being built to withstand twice the boost, heat, power etc for reliability and I am also getting almost everything at bulk prices (unless there happens to be someone that owes my mate a favour and he gets it at half price or free). My mate does not charge me labour ($88 hr) so no you cant do everything I'm doing unless u know someone... you wouldnt get much change from $40,000 (remember I've got a rollcage, race brakes, simmons FR 19's, V8 supercar tailshaft, water/methanol injection etc). BUT if you're spending fiteen grand on the engine alone and you have the right advice so you dont get ripped off, it should get you 300+rwkw. The only problem after that will be that you will be spending alot of money on the driveline but yeah the engine will make the power.

I'll list some generic prices to give y'all an idea.
Full head job by HSD:$3500
Bottom end machineing strengthening, o-ringed, studs:$4500
Internals- forged rods pistons etc: $2000
Turbo: $2000
Turbo manifolds: $1700
Intercooler and piping: $1500
Wolf 3D or similar ECU $1500

$16,700 in total... close to 15 grand.

you'll be spewing like a workmate that spent $20,000 on supercharging his 5l VP that only runs 13's....
But hey I might introduce you to Nick at speedwell performance lol

Hope that was as helpful as it was long
