There's no clear reason why the tacho would stop working because of the S2 coil packs.
It would be worth making sure that the S2 coil packs were all pluged in properly and that the DFI module is pluged into the wiring loom properly. Other than that, I'd suggest testing the tacho in another car, to make sure that it still works.
BTW: There's no reason that changing to the S2 coil packs will make the car go faster, unless the S1 coil packs were stuffed. They do exactly the same job, with no performance gains over the S1 packs. They are just easier and cheaper to change when they die |

A scotch lock! They suck monkey d!ck. It isn't that hard to do it properly. A scotch lock will cut through the wires over time, and can cause the gauge to fail.
They are a cheap, nasty, lazy way to do the job. If you want it to last, it should be soldered. |

my friend found out wat happened with the tach he pulled th s2 coil pack out while he did that he had alook at the pins from the connecter wich he saw 1 of them were missing. then he had alok at his s1 coil pack and saw that all the pins were all in there. so the answer is that the pin that is missing is actually for the rev metter. problem solved hehe! thanx again b4dn xxxx |
