HELLO i got a big problem first of all some ****head decided to try and break into my beautifull car and broke the door handle but lucky he/she didnt get the car open so ive run to the wreckers and got a door handle but my problem is i removed all the screws the window handle thingy and everything which is good oh yeh sorry talking bout the door trim anyways so ive removed all that but then got the last part which is the **** lock thingy that goes up and down it has this little black cover around it and i cant see to take that off i tried using a flat screw driver leavering it out still no good its as good as stuck so if any1 can tell me how the hell do i get that out. thank u b4dn xxxx

You'll need to be working INSIDE the door for this one.

1) Remove the lock security shield retaining screw and by pushing the shield upwards, remove it from the door cavity.
2) Disconnect the lock cylinder control rod from the door lock by releasing the retainer clip.
3) Withdraw the slide clip from the rear of the exterior door handle.
4) Manoeuvre the handle section from the escutcheon from inside the door, then remove the escutcheon and seal from the door.

When you're putting it back in just make sure the seal is in the right spot, and don't forget the security shield, it just makes it a bit harder to break in.
