alright....this is on a VR wagon which is basically the same as a vn/vp

now the problem is that when i rev it in park the speedo pulses up and down from zero...like it bounces on zero...if ya know what i mean haha

also there is a noise that sounds like when the rev limiter comes in as the speedo only bounces when this noise happens im more worried about the noise but yeh car still feels teh same (just got it ...currently unregistered). I have changed plugs and leads, also checked coii packs and vacum leaks. the center muffler is pretty ****ed as it has hit something and mangled it however there is no holes in it...dunno if this would cause it...the noise sounds like its in teh engine

cheers

the vr's have a realy bad habit of letting the harmoninc balance go!!! sounds a bit strange... I know you have herd this b4 but are you sure its not the cluster and wiring it self?

thanks trizo

checked the harmonic balancer and seems fine. also wouldnt suprise me if teh cluster is faulty, however i still dont know why the speedo moves up and downwhile reving in park....does it at 2500-3000rpm....and only moves up and doewn when teh car makes that (very worrying) noise....but does not effect the rpm when it makes this noise.

im gonna change teh dfi and coil packs plus leads with some spares i have lying around and see if that makes any difference.

also the fuel it has in it aint the best and the car is supposed to have a CHIP....cop chip to be precise ...oh yeh i. i do know there is no suck thing as a cop chip too:P.....took chip out and looks like a stock one ...either way it dont bother me
