just another quick 1


wat thickness MDF should i use to construct a sub box???

some people say 1/2 inch is thick enough... just wonderin if anyone had any ideas...

ah ok m8... 1/2 inch is around 16mm anyway....

thanks 4 that.... one other quick q... wat adhesive do ya rekon i should use???

is liquid nails good enough??

liquid nails rocks for sub boxes
i built one of mine using the stuff works a treat. but dont forget to use a few wood screws too to hold it all together! lol

ill give it a shot.... i figured out the dimensions of the box according to alpines specs... so all i need now is time and money lol

people recon sub box;s (and the subs) weigh your car down but its a load of baloney!

maybe would slow you down a milisecond unless you have 50 kilos of sub box and subs.....

my 2 type r's weigh in at just over 13kg. so times that by 2= 26 kg. then add a further 20 odd kilos for the box (mines fair big and 16mm mdf all round)and thats 46kg. its like having a light weight 2nd person in the car all the time!

I've heard of people going with 12mm MDF IIRC.

And I think I posted that somewhere on here before didn't I, Trizo? Let's lighten up guys- it's only the internet
