Im wondering if anyone knows if the v6 automatic is exactly the same internally, i know the bellhousing patern is the same and thew same ratios were used but are the v6 ones weaker or are they standard across the range?

Cheers,
Nodg.

yep thats what i meant . cheers for clearing that up. i did a google search and i believe it doesnt even have the same bellhousing! will need to fork out some extra cash becasue being the stupid **** i am i broke the band that controls 2nd and 4th gear, i confirmed my theroy by flushing the system, changing the filter, etc and new oil and made a bit of an improvement but its the mechanicals itself and i would be better off spending anything up to 800 for a reasnobly good t5 or v8 th700/4l60. clutches are on their way and im going to ruin it even quicker when i recieve my hsv memcal on monday.

Cheers,
Nodg.

Why not rebuild it yourself?? I dont believe it would be to difficult. I know it is slightly different but i have been rebuilding power shift transmissions(basically auto trannies for mining equipment) for the past month and they are simple as. You should give it a go. I mean what have you got to loose it is already buggered??

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer?
Understeer is when the driver is scared.
Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.
