Hey guys, I recently bought a VX front bumper and put it on, and i was gonna decide whether i should get the whole kit or just not use it, and I decided I don't like it, so i'm thinking about buying something more simpler and just lowering it.

What are your guys opinions on body kits?

Don't put another models body kit on your car . End of story

But if you like body's kits buy something that's made for your car ... Hsv invest so much time and $$$ into the body kits , wheels , interiors ect if you would like a body kit on your vn have a look at maybe a aero body kit , sv 5000 body kit ? Have a look around see what you like

Me personal I am getting a sv5000 / sv 89 front bar , sv 89 / 3800 side skirts , sv 5000 / 89 rear bar , sv 89 rear spoiler , sv 5000 front grill , group a bonnet scoop , group a front wheel flears , sv 5000 wheel arches

Mix and match come up with something you like its all about personal taste

There are 101 different body kits out there. There are even some for the VN that look like a VX Club Sport, but fit properly. A Holden dealership I used to work for would buy ex-pursuit cop cars at auctions, whack a body kit and some mags on it, and still make a healthy profit. Resist the temptation to lower it though; if you do, many speed bumps will make you wince as you hear the underside scrape against your new bodywork.

i always liked the look of the vq bumpers prob because i had a vq i just don't like it when people put the statesman bonnet and grill on a vn the only reason why people put them on is because the vn grills leave a little gap but if you look at the vn group a there bumper is almost the same and there grill leaves a little gap and no one seems to care about that

That's also a common custom job done to VN wagons and VG utes; using a complete Statesman or Caprice front end the way they do with Kingswoods. The irony is that fitting a Statesman front end to a Commodore is even easier than it was for a Kingswood
