If it does most of it's driving on gas, get it tuned on gas. I'm not being a smart-arse, but just because it runs on gas, doesn't mean that it's running the best it could. Done properly you should be able to get a few extra kw out of the engine on gas compared to ULP/PULP.
A well setup CAI might help, and if you haven't done so already a hi-flow washable filter. After that, port/polish the heads (if you have the budget for it).
It's a bit more stuffing around but a lower temperature thermostat can help, especially on gas engines. Gas is notorious for running hot, so helping the engine run cooler would help it.
As for chroming the engine. It depends, true chrome is not paint. However it would be much easier, cheaper and quicker to just get some 'chrome' paint. |
