yep just need to change the flywheel and use the t5 bell housing well that's what i got told but i have a 5 speed ,in your case you would need to get a custom drive shaft made as well id say
ha good question been through a few they are not the best they can handle up to 3to400hp (not thrashing it) but they don't like getting hot as soon as they do gears start cracking and loose teeth until they just brake ,so key lesson is to keep the oil clean and cool in them and you shouldn't have a prob
i have been in a vs Ute with a 5 speed supra gearbox in it on the ecotec and it went hard felt better then the old holden t5 maybe you could look into that just need a custom drive shaft and bellhousing they can handle a fair bit of power after all there bolted to a turbo car getting up to 500hp some of them
Supra 5 speed is a common and reasonably strong conversion. The T56 stock standard with a triple plate clutch I have seen run in a 1500hp dyno car for a couple of years without a drama if you are looking for strength and reliability.
What's the difference between understeer and oversteer? Understeer is when the driver is scared. Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.
Yes to strength and reliablity, I will be using it mainly for cruising with some drag days. Last thing I want is to spend money on a gearbox conversion to have it fail on the first burnout, skid or gear change.
