Hi everyone! I just wanted to get something off my chest about some of the idiots we share the road with, and their distorted attitudes.
I have spent the last 6 months putting alot of tender loving care into my car which I inherited off my grandfather. I have spent an estimated $6000 on making the car look and perform the way it does. I have invested my money not only on how the car performs, but also on how the car looks.
Now, whenever I drive the car, it does get a bit of attention, but there is an element of it I want no part of. The frustration I am talking about is other drivers of V8 Commodores, and I make strong reference to VY and VZ SS drivers. These people claim to be car lovers when they thrash their cars, diving in and out of traffic, tailgating you, while driving a car that looks like it hasnt been washed in over a month! It p1sses me off because most of these offenders would claim to be devoted "Car Lovers". How is this the case when they negelect their car when they drive it, they negelect it by keeping it in a filthy state, they neglect the road rules, and they show no respect for other road users and their rides. I just notice that when i am driving my car, i get this idiot element that comes with it while i am trying to enjoy my pride and joy, and yet if im out in my wifes 4 cylinder, we go completly un-noticed.
I am a car lover which means I look after my pride and joy! I care for it inside and out, and most of all, when I see a nice car on the road, I dont start behaving like an idiot. I appreciate it and respect it. If everything is about racing, then go to a proper drag strip. I dont mind the odd squirt on the right foot, but come on, every minute and in heavy traffic.
I hope you guys make some sense of what I have written. It has been playing on my mind, and I thought I would get it off my chest. As they say "Its better out, than in". Cheers

i couldn't agree with u more mate those idiots have put so much time and money into their cars and they will tailgate u and u see them right up your ass and u think if i have to make an emergency pull up they are going to fcuk up my car badly and their own.

sometimes those guys in newish commodore have them brought by their parents or something so have no concern if they fcuk it up.

i love my car to death and always make sure where possible to park next to Mercedes and BMW's so i know they are not gona open their doors onto my new paint.

glad u mentioned it their are some idiots who need to have a read of what you've written.

I'll show you the Rick James cell. It's superfreaky!.

Thanks mate! I am glad that you appreciate what I wrote, because what you said in reply means that you understand the point that I was trying to get across. What you have said sums it up. My car I inherited off my grandfather July last year making it my first car at the same time. I didnt pay a cent to have it in my ownership, but since becoming the owner, I have spent alot of money, time and effort too get it looking and going the way it does. I havent put all this "love" into my car (my grandfathers car) for some 1diot to smash it up. I am a Ford man from way back, but hey, I love my car even with a Holden badge on it, and I can appreciate and respect other road users safety along with their cars.
I am a car lover, and I hope that some of the petrol heads out there can begin to appreciate that there is more to a car than how much faster you can go than everyone else on the road. Cheers Leebo, a fellow Car Lover!

the problem is vn91sx, is that some of these so called car lovers have to much money and realy dont give a sh1t if somthing goes on the car or breaks, mum and dad have brought them something nice and it is a throw away mentality that makes these clowns behave the way they do hence tailgating to the point were you wantta hit the anchors on them!!!! I can c your point fully but wonder to my self y people get so p1ssed of at idiot drivers,, because at the end of the day you can whinge till your blue in the face , its not gonna make any of these so called car lovers c the light! I often wonder if I'd b better of on my push bike lol!

Well said Trizo. When people tailgate and carry on like idiots, I fall into the trap of letting it get to me. If you hit the anchors and they run up your ass, you ruin your pride and joy in the process, and the next time you are out on the road you can bet a million dollars that there will be some other drop kick that will gladly take up prime real estate a few meters from your car travelling at 60-80km/h.
